Rotaro T Handheld Tachometer

RheinTacho Rotaro T Digital Hand Tachometer

The RheinTacho Rotaro T is a versatile digital hand tachometer designed for the precise measurement of rotational speed, linear velocity, and length. Combining both non-contact optical and contact mechanical measurement methods in a compact, easy-to-use instrument, the Rotaro T is ideal for maintenance, production, quality control, and process monitoring applications across a wide range of industries.

Whether measuring the speed of rotating machinery, the surface velocity of moving materials, or the length of continuous products, the Rotaro T provides reliable, accurate results quickly and efficiently.

Dual Measurement Technology

Optical (Non-Contact) Measurement

The Rotaro T measures rotational speed without physically touching the equipment. A beam of light is directed at a reflective target attached to the rotating component, and the reflected signal is used to calculate RPM.

Features:

  • Non-contact RPM measurement
  • Measurement distance up to 600 mm
  • Fast and accurate readings
  • Ideal for rotating machinery and hard-to-access components
  • Clear 5-digit LCD display

Mechanical (Contact) Measurement

For direct measurements, the Rotaro T can be fitted with a contact probe and applied directly to a rotating shaft. A measuring wheel can also be attached, enabling the measurement of:

  • Rotational speed (RPM)
  • Surface velocity
  • Linear speed
  • Length travelled

Material Measurement Applications

With the addition of a special adapter, the Rotaro T can measure the speed and length of a wide variety of continuous materials, including:

  • Yarn
  • Wire
  • Glass fibres
  • Textile products
  • Cables
  • Ropes
  • Paper webs
  • Plastic films and foils
  • Other fibre-based materials

This makes the Rotaro T particularly well suited to textile manufacturing, wire processing, packaging, converting, and general industrial production environments.
