Optical (Non-Contact) Measurement

The Redpoint measures rotational speed by directing a beam of light at a reflective strip attached to the rotating object. Each time the reflective marker passes the beam, the reflected signal is detected and converted into an RPM reading.

Results are displayed instantly on the unit’s clear 5-digit LCD display, allowing for fast and accurate speed verification without interrupting machine operation.
