Demeq QH Portable Hardness Tester

The Demeq QH Series hardness gauges are used to measure the hardness of metals quickly and easily making them an ideal complement to traditional bench hardness testers. Measurements are expressed in Leeb and Vickers (depending on the hardness method) with immediate conversions to other hardness units such as Rockwell and Brinell. All QH models include a memory to store measurements that can then be transferred to a PC.

Fruit Penetrometer

Fruit hardness is the universally accepted measure of fruit ripeness. The fruit Penetrometer accurately measures fruit hardness by measuring the force required to push a plunger tip (of a certain size) into fruit and vegetables. The GY series of Penetrometers are ideal for testing a wide range of fruits and vegetables. The force measurement provides the necessary information for growers to determine the best picking time, and to monitor fruit ripening and softening during storage. Naturally, different fruits and vegetables will vary: varieties, geographical location and climate will all affect the appropriate firmness for picking a particular fruit. Recommended measurements are used as a guide, the growers using their experience and expertise to establish the precise firmness value applicable to their particular variety and environment.

Shore Durometer

Used to measure the hardness of rubber and plastics according ASTM D2240, DIN 53505, ISO 868 and ISO 7619. Shore A scale is applicable for rubber and soft plastics whereas Shore D is for hard rubber and thermoplastics. The Shore A and Shore D meters have a large LCD display for easy reading, auto switch off and a hold button for timed measurements.

The durometer conforms to DIN 53505, ISO 868, ISO 7619 and ASTM D 2240. Model HD3000 offers maximum accuracy available in a dial model gauge. Model HD3000 can be used in combination with the Hildebrand Operating Stand.
